Professor Herman Wasserman and Professor Sahana Udupa to speak at IfKW Research Colloquium (June 25, 2:00 pm, B001)
The summer edition of the IfKW Research Colloquium will feature two internationally renowned guests. Professor Herman Wasserman will speak on “Media, geopolitics and power: A view from the Global South,” and Professor Sahana Udupa will talk about “Extreme speech online: Fun and aggression in political discourse.”
Herman Wasserman is Professor of Media Studies and Director of the Centre for Film and Media Studies at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He is a visiting researcher at the LMU as a recipient of the Humboldt Foundation’s Georg Foster Research Prize.
Sahana Udupa is a Professor in the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology at LMU Munich, where she leads an ERC Starting Grant Project on digital politics.
