Carsten Reinemann (english version)

Carsten Reinemann (1971) is a professor of political communication at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany.  He earned his Master Degree (1997) and completed his dissertation (2003) in Mass Communication at the  Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. In 2007, he finished his "Habilitation" there. Since August 2008 he is holding a chair of communication science with a focus on political communication at Munich University.

His research interests include political journalism, election coverage, and campaign effects. Besides books and book chapters he has authored or co-authored articles in the Journal of Communication, Communication Research, European Journal of Communication, The International Journal of Press/Politics, Communications, International Journal of Public Opinion Research, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly and Publizistik.

He is a member of the International Communication Association (ICA), the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA), the German Communication Association (DGPuK), the German Election Research Association (DGfW) and the Network of European Political Communication Scholars (NEPOCS). He has been a reviewer for Political Communication, Party Politics, The International Journal of Public Opinion Research, Communications, Medien & Kommunikationswissenschaft, Zeitschrift für Politik, ICA, DGPuK and others.
